Hello friends welcome to my vegetarian recipes blog in this article I am going to talk about a most popular traditional healthy and delicious recipe Punjabi chole recipe this is a very famous recipe in North India specially in Punjab. This is a special Punjabi spicy cuseni. Which is made with chickpea (chhole ya Kabuli chane) ginger onion tomato powdered spices and so many other herbs, gravy mathod.
Tea leaves are used to give a deep color to this vegetable. Special chole masala is used to bring restaurant like taste in it, today I am going to tell you the method of making that masala at home.This recipe can be made natural way to vegon, full of nutrition like Protine Fiber and Minerals.Friends, the people of Punjab are very fond of food and drink, along with being hardworking, this is the reason that different types of dishes are made in Punjab. Punjabi Chole Bhature is one of them.These dishes of  Punjab are very popular all over India. As far as I am sure there is no Indian who can turn away from this amazing recipe.

Punjabi Chole recipe is also called as Chana Masala, Amritsari Chole etc. Punjabi Chole is relished with Bhature or Puri. Mango pickle is served with chopped raw onion and its taste increases even more.
Spicy Punjabi Chole is a must-have for every Indian food lover. This vegetable is commonly prepared in all Indian households. Chole Bhature is generally preferred to be eaten in morning and evening breakfast. Sometimes Chole Bhature is also included in the dinner.These delicious Chole Bhature are usually made in every small and big Indian party or get together, whether in big restaurants or street vendors, you can find this Chole Bhature everywhere. This recipe is also very famous as street food. Today I am going to tell here the recipe of making Punjabi Chole Bhature very easily at home, this recipe is very easy to make and equally tasty and healthy to eat.

Ingredients for chole Recipe

2 Cup Chick pea (Chole )
4 Big size Tomatoes 
3_4 Green chilli 
3 Big size Onions 
1_1/2 peace of Ginger 
1 Tea spoon Coriander powder 
2 Tea spoon Chana masala 
3 Bey leaves
2 pinch asafoetida
2_3 Dry Red chilli 
3_4 Cloves 
1Tea spoon Red Chili powder 
3_4 Black Cardamom 
1Tea spoon Black Pepper  
1 Inch peace of Cinemon 
1 Tea spoon Cumin seeds  
Salt  according to taste 
 1/2 Tea  spoon Baking soda 
 1_1/2 Tea spoon Tea leaves 
 2 Tbsp Oil 
Water  as needed 

Ingredients for Bhature 


Maida 2 Cup Suji 1 Table spoon Curd 1 Cup. Baking soda 1/4 Tea spoon Salt 1/2 Tea spoon

How to make Chole recipe?


First of all, wash 2 cups of chickpeas thoroughly with clean water and keep them soaked overnight.

Soaked chole.


Chop ginger, onion, tomato and green chillies. (Cutt half of ginger into long thin strips)
Now put a cooker on the gas and put a little oil and fry cumin seeds in it and add the rest of the standing spices bay leaf, black pepper, cinnamon, black cardamom, cloves, after roasting them all lightly, add chopped onion, ginger, tomato, 
Add salt as per taste and fry it. 
Crushed spices added to the hot oil.
When the masala is roasted well, then add chickpea masala, red chili powder and coriander powder and fry it. 

Put 2 spoons of tea leaves and about 2 cups of water in a pan and cook till it starts boiling.

Strain the boiled tea using a tea strainer and keep it aside.

Now put the chickpeas soaked overnight in the roasted spices along with water. 
After this add water of tea leaves and add a little baking soda and mix well 
Soaked chole, tea water, baking soda, regular water, and salt added to the cooker.
Close the lid of the cooker and keep track of it till 5 or 6 whistles. 
Lid of the cooker closed.

Pressure cook for 1 whistle on high heat. Then reduce the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes.

Open the cooker when it cools down and check whether the leaves are cooked well or not. 
If necessary, apply one or two more whistles and one Mash a little with a churner and add long strips of gree chilli an ginger cook it for 2 minutes.
Take your delicious spicy Punjabi Chole recipe like Halwai is ready. Add finely chopped waxed ginger and 3 to 4 long chopped green chilies and cook for 2 minutes.
Now heat oil in a pan, add two pinches of asafoetida and fry it, add two dry red chilies, fry it lightly and immediately put it in the prepared chickpeas, now your chickpeas are completely ready.

How to make bhatura?

Take two cups of maida(all purpose flour) in a big utensil, add a quarter teaspoon of soda, add half a teaspoon of salt and a cup of curd, add two tablespoons of oil and knead it well by adding water as needed to make a soft dough and leave it to ferment for 2 to 3 hours. put down for 


After 2 to 3 hours make 12 or 13 small balls of dough. Now heat oil in a large pan, put a small piece of dough in it and check whether the oil is hot or not. Then  roll out each ball thinly and make a diameter of 5-6 inches and put it in hot oil and fry them, turning them one by one. Now all your bhaturas are ready, now you have prepared Punjabi Chole with pickled onions with pickle and salad, enjoy this delicious hotel like recipe and make your family happy.
